Special Dates for Graduating Students

	Summer 2005	Fall 2005	Spring 2006
Last day to apply for degrees:	June 2	Sept. 9	Jan. 27
Last day for graduate students to submit theses or dissertations:	August 5	Dec. 2	Apr. 14

The May 2005 Commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 14, 2005.

The December Commencement ceremony will be held Thursday evening, December 15, 2005.

The May 2006 Commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 13, 2006.

Students who wish to participate in commencement ceremonies must complete forms for apparel and participation. These forms and complete commencement information may be found on the Commencement website at www.louisville.edu/commencement.

Degree Applications: The degree application process will be available on the Web through ULink (ulink.louisville.edu). The application period for Summer is April 15 - June 2; for Fall is July 15 - September 9; and for Spring is November 15 - January 27. All candidates for degrees, whether or not participating in Commencement, must apply for degrees according to the deadlines above. Students with questions regarding applications for degree should contact their advising center or call the Registrar's Office at (502) 852-6522.

Holidays

University offices will be closed on all of the holidays listed below with the exception of the Fall Midterm Break (October 10-11), and the Spring Midterm Vacation (March 13-19).

Summer, 2005 Holidays

• Memorial Day Holiday: May 30
• Independence Day Holiday: July 4 (Kent School & weekend courses July 2, 3, 4)

Fall, 2005 Holidays

• Labor Day Holiday: Sept. 5
• Mid-term break: October 10 ­ 11
• Thanksgiving Break: November 23 - November 27

Spring, 2006 Holidays

• Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: January 16
• Midterm Vacation: March 13 - 19
• Holiday for course sections ending in '98' or '99': March 17, 18, & 19.
