     2025 Annual Depression & Mood Disorders Conference

     

     

     

    "Controlled Drugs: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"

    Register today for our professional conference from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm on Friday, October 31, 2025! 

    There will also be a free, public presentation (no CME credits) on Thursday, October 30 at 6:00pm. Dr. Greg Fonzo will be presenting a presentation on "Psychedelics for Mental Health: Myths, Mysteries, and Medical Applications."

    Both events will take place at the UofL Conference Center on Shelby Campus (Founders Union Building) at 450 N. Whittington Pkwy., Louisville, KY  40222. We encourage you to share it with others you think would be interested in attending.

The recruitment of our own UofL medical students into careers in psychiatry has averaged nearly twice the national average over the last two decades. Our Clinical Clerkship in Psychiatry is one of the highest rated, year after year, in the entire School of Medicine.

     Meet an APA Awardee: Allan Tasman, M.D.

    The professor of social and community psychiatry was the recipient of this year’s Vestermark Psychiatry Educator Award, which recognizes excellence, leadership, and creativity in the field of psychiatric education. Congratulations to Dr. Tasman, Emeritus Professor and Schwab Endowed Chair in Social and Community Psychiatry at the University of Louisville, Department of Psychiatry!
