| Hi folks. We are very close to committing to a full-blown organizing campaign with 1400 teaching assistants at Queen's University in Kingston ON. I'm writing to ask you to forward this message and my contact information to any of your local's activists or even less-than-active members who may be moving to Queen's. We're looking for volunteers and for people we can contact about signing a CUPE card. In the past we've found that people who were active in their local on another campus make great and enthusiastic rank-and-file organizers. Less active members moving to a non-union (for TAs anyway) university are normally unpleasantly surprised by non-union conditions of employment and are also likely to help out by signing a card or even by joining our Organizing Committee.
