Mission

Established in 1986, the Labor-Management Center (LMC) represents the University of Louisville in providing a comprehensive, objective, and superior program of research, teaching, publication, and promotion in order to foster labor-management partnerships and networks for more efficient and productive workplaces in a broad cross-section of union-organized producers of goods and services.

Vision

To be the demonstrable leader in education, research, and technical assistance for furthering labor-management partnerships that will yield world class products and services.

Programs and Services

  • A core group of excellent faculty and researchers work with LMC examining current labor-management issues.
  • In-house training by professional instructors for local employers and unions.
  • LMC also sponsors regular luncheons and seminars in the fall and spring, and an annual Labor-Management Award.
